For the past few days, while finishing off some touches with the hinlalato theme, closing some sales of my domain names and promoting some of my proxy sites, I also have been busy reading and grasping the art of Site Flipping. I love to explore new things and other methods on how to earn money online. I have spoken with a friend a month back about this and gave me a neat idea on how to go about the flipping. He started a site seven months ago and sold it for 250 bucks. It is not that big with that of the time spent promoting and populating his site but still it is money. The only problem that I am really having a hard time is the first stage. Yep, Keyword or Niche researching. This step is crucial that it may make or break your efforts.
A Glimpse of the Art of Flipping
Basically, the these steps are based on my perception and on what I have actually read. I am a novice to this industry and still need to a lot of reading and learning
Keyword / Niche Research
- Finding a low competitive niche with a relatively high searches with the major search engines would be a perfect target. It sounds easy right? But one thing that hinder individuals would be the interest of the topic. It is hard to do something that one has no interest of. As I have said, this is a make or break step.
Domain Hunting
- I love domain hunting. I could spent hours trying to grab some gems and eventually sell it for a profit. After having a niche ready, a good domain name, preferably with your keywords on the title should be secured. Short and catchy domain name would most likely be remembered by users thus having returning visitors to your site or blog
Populating
- One of the most tedious part. A blogger claimed that he is populating his blog with five (5) quality posts per day. That is a lot, well, for me. But as I have come to visit his site. He has a low alexa rank and a good PR 4. I usually type fast and thought just come right in but not all the time. About writing good content, I am planning to have an experiment with regard to writing posts. I will write about it if I have been successful in implementing it.
Promotion
- Another problem. lol. There are a lot of ways on how to promote your site. There’s SEO, to get free organic traffic, ppc, and the like. I would rather stick for promotional methods that are free or at least cost to a minimal amount.
SELL for $$
- After those long hard efforts and months, it is time to sell the site. Pricing would depend on how much effort, how successful and how much the income is generated monthly. One of the best martketplace are Sitepoint and Digital Point, but be careful of the latter for which it is known to have a lot of scammers.
That’s about it. I will be starting this off by next week or within the first few weeks of November and hopefully would be successful with it. If you have tips for me, kindly leave some on my comment box below. Thankies.
