CTR or click through rate is one of the factors you should consider whenever you are running an Adsense adblocks on your blog or site. Click through rate determines if you have setup the ads effectively. From proper positioning, right colors, appropriate font size and type etc.
I played with one of my adsense adblock the other day and my clickthrough rate doubled. This was until I noticed that a given adsense block was just receiving a .06 CTR. I went through the adsense setup page and tweak a little the background color and font size.

If you would want your adsense to have a decent click through rate, you should always test, test and test again. This will give the ads a chance of better ctr thus earning you more. Here are some of the things you should consider when tweaking an adsense block.
- Background Color - either blend it with your background color or make it contrast for more visibility
- Font - Make the Font bigger and change color to a more clickable state. Red is a stimulating color which makes your Headline Ads more clickable.
- Position - Either make it above the fold or better yet, someplace in between the first fold and the second fold.
- TEST - you should always test and monitor your progress
With this basic Adsense block tweaking, I have managed to increase my ctr to 50% 100% overnight thus earning me more moolah.
