I was heading home and was tuning my stereo to one of the local FM stations here in Manila. I seek channels and one program grabbed my attention was about the Miss Universe 2009. The dj was taking calls from listeners and asked what they think of the representative of the Philippines to the Miss Universe 2009 Pageant. One caller, I think a law student had a strong point that made me say.. ” OO nga no..”
Filipino Identity
She said that Filipinos somewhat have lost their identity. The western mentality really invaded and influenced Filipinos thus making them a slave to their own identity.
A Filipina Beauty.
A filipina beauty does not have a white complexion. She has a fair skin that really would stand out in foreign countries. I remember one time, I was visiting California, some of my few Caucasian friends were actually asking me if I could hook them up with a Filipina. I asked them what they liked about a Filipina, and they said in an instant, their perfect fair skin. I believe that having a fair skin is a blessing and really should not be altered by any means.
So next time the Philippines would send a representative to the Miss Universe Pageant, I hope they would pick a Filipina with a Distinct Pinay image that could speak well the Pilipino language.

I agree with you, I prefer brown Filipina much like Echo of the Survivor Philippines season 2.
