was doing my routinary check ups for some of my blogs awhile ago and realized that I should optimize more keywords for my blogs. The BIG question is, what to freakin’ optimize? I know some methods on how to do keyword research, but then again, I am not satisfied with the results after those words or phrases being optimized. I am beginning to think if I am doing something wrong. I just hope I am on the right path and that this blog, Hinlalato and some of my other blogs would eventually grow sometime in the future.
Optimize While Slacking
I am really lazy in finding keywords to optimize and would somehow resort to hijacking from other blogs. The good thing about it is that, they do not own the keywords, it is actually your discretion if you will optimize it, and dominate the serps or not.
My Lazy Methods
If you are like me, slacking off and would care less sometimes about optimizing keywords, here are some methods on how you would snatch some nice keywords.
- Popular Posts
Try to visit your favorite blogs, and look and search the sidebar for his famous posts, try to figure out what keywords he/she is optimizing, snatch it and work on it.
- Blog Statistics
Have you seen other blogs’ web statistics button such as site meter and amung.us? You can take advantage of these by actually peeping inside and try to look on what pages people are viewing to their blogs.
- Posts with a lot of Comments
Looking for top commented-posts within the blog of your choice gives you the chance on keywords or topics that are hot
- Footer Links
If you are being observant reader, you would notice do follow links at the bottom of their page. Located on their footers are links that they wanted to optimize, snatch it, optimize, rinse and repeat.
- The Big G’s Trends
This is one way of knowing what is cooking within the online and even the real world. I use this to blog about current VOLCANIC topics that might drive traffic for my weblog. Optmize wisely, Use Google Trends.
- Mature Keywords with the Works
This method is somewhat challenging. First off, you can’t optimize a word that has violence or a topic with a mature content. This is against the Big G’s TOS. But this method is very rewarding once optimized. Be sure to hunt these kinds of keywords but be extra careful though when optimizing such.

@ dexter - i agree, but in a way, these options are more lazy-ish than typical keyword research. just a thought,somehow if attacked by “tamad-itis”. hehe anyhoo, thanks for visitng sir dexter, I am and hoping to learn more from your blog posts.
