Its cost cutting everywhere, A few weeks back, it was circuit city, now Starbucks. The company announced that it will be cutting 6700 jobs and closing 200 u.s. stores and 100 overseas. Just last year, an announcement was made that 600 stores were bound to close. This latest announcement is expected to push through as of this month until September this year.
I just wish the starbucks in our area is not affected. I always love to make a drive thru before going home.

Yup, looks like Starbucks is also affected by the current recession. Here in Vancouver I’ve noticed a reduced number of staff in their stores.
Plus people would just go and buy coffee and snacks at Tim Horton’s where it’s a lot cheaper.
