I am all for Randy Couture, I have respect for the legend “The Natural” - but being brutally kicked and fell down on 2 rounds won’t make you a winner of the fight. Again, I am a huge Couture fan but I think that Brandon Vera should have won the fight.
A small recap on what had happened awhile ago.
Brandon Vera started off early on the first round. He gave away body shots with his foot and eventually made Couture do the chicken dance when got hit on the temple lobe. Couture recovered quickly and tried to wear out Brandon with his Greco Roman wresting skills.
On the second and third round, Brandon came in strong and kicked the sides of Randy Couture which the latter fell to the ground. I think the only mistake that Brandon made was that he did not take advantage of the moment when Couture was on the ground.
The fight ended in a unanimous decision. Brandon was not happy with it but Randy Couture had a big smile on his face after the announcement.
