I had a glimpse on Doing Time on Maple Drive. It actually is considered a made-for-television drama film.

The story is about the Carter Family with Father Phil as a succesful local retarateur who is marre to Lisa. They have three offsprings which they named Karen, Tim and Matt. Tim, a worker of Phil’s restaurant married the latter’s daughter. MAtt on the other hand, returned from college and introduces his fiancee to the family. But Matt was injured after crashing his own car and retunred home to recuperate, only to find out that his family is that dysfunctional.
Tim as an alocholic, and the crash was brought about on how to handle himself as being gay, it was a suicide attempt. He then broke up with his fiancee, while Lisa is still on a state of denial about her family’s abnormality.
There are many things that happen within the family circle, and for me its a good good film. This drama tackles almost all aspects in life and we can learn something from it.
Try to watch it. Doing time on Maple Drive has was on the nomination list for three Emmy Awards, for outstanding writing, supporting actress and outstanding made for television movie.
