I am new to blogging and recently attended a wordpress camp or wordcamp. One of the speakers is Mr. Wordpress himself, Matt Mullenweg. A very soft-spoken man considering he is somekind of a big deal when it comes to weblogs. He discussed the future of wordpress in a gist. Some figures that really indicate that wordpress is a promising blog platform in the NEAR future. Wordpress keeps on getting better everyday thus leaving other platforms behind.
What keep us in awestruck were the features of the anticipated Wordpress 2.7 with a name of Crazyhorse. If you loved the previous enahancements of wordpress, you would definitely love crazyhorse. A cool brandable name as well to name wordpress 2.7. One feature is that they made the dragging and dropping simple. From the admin panel, a user can now drag and drop selections from sidebar to the middle and vice versa. Comment management also was improved. Wordpress admins put a lot of work to do reasearch and development, not to mention the eye tracking laser approach. Hats off to the team and we will be waiting for the release of crazyhorse.
